The best ever crime reads?

A couple of weeks ago, The Times newspaper published a list of the ‘100 favourite’ crime and spy novels published since 1945. It soon caused controversy, when Marian Keyes drew attention to the fact that fewer than 30% of their picks were from women writers. Last week, the Guardian set out to correct this, with their ‘50 best thrillers by women’. Great to see!

You can find the Guardian list on their website, here: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/may/16/50-great-thrillers-by-women-agatha-christie-gillian-flynn-val-mcdermid.
